Lisa earned a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. She is a Clinical Professional Counselor licensed through the state of Montana. She is also a Certified Mental Health Professional. Lisa has worked in the field of mental health since 2006 and has supervised numerous students working towards their own professional licensure. She works in partnership with her clients to develop and assess goals for treatment. Lisa utilizes a Client Centered Therapy approach, which means she treats her clients with unconditional, positive support and puts them at the center of treatment. She works with all ages. Lisa has worked in school settings, the community, and in the field of corrections serving offenders as well as law enforcement and other first responders. She has worked with employee assistance programs as a health coach. She has many years of experience as a certified personal and group fitness trainer and enjoys helping folks to meet their health and wellness goals. Lisa completed her undergraduate thesis by researching the benefits exercise can have on mental and emotional health. She appreciates the role of coach and motivator in the therapeutic process to assist people as they go through the inevitable changes that come along with life.
